The National Certification
Commission is an independent not-for-profit
association established in June 1993 which is located in suburban Maryland (Washington, DC).
The Commission provides information and
assistance to national associations on development and improvement of certification programs and designations in
numerous professions and occupations.
Members consist of 150 associations offering more than 300 categories. The Commission is non-governmental, not operated by a management firm, nor is affiliated with product vendors; and offers objective, responsive, and cost-effective advice to best serve national associations.
Association membership is $100 annually and includes all certification
staff. ACA, BCA, CCA, and DCA designations
are available for certification administrators and committee members. There are complimentary code of conduct
pledges for certification and association administrators. National
accreditation approval is also available for existing association certification designations.
Members (associations and individuals) receive weekly the newsletter "Certification Communications"
containing relevant articles, surveys, and
announcements.
Members may request previous articles and newsletters, and readily receive responses to certification questions and inquiries in
a timely manner.
For association membership,
please print and return the form posted on this website. Separate forms are available for individual designations and
